Chelsea host liverpool today at Stamford Bridge wif a 86-games unbeaten record still intact. It is scary to hear tt many teams r plotting the downfall of our bridge, most recently aston villa whom we haf brushed them aside wif a 2-0 win. however our opponents for today is of a better calibre wif players like gerrard, keane n kuyt to watch out for. oh n dont forget alonso, who i haf read on e paper, a red card magnet. rem their amazingly late comebacks agnst marseille, boro, manu, manc n wigan? of e 5, only e first 2 managed to impress me. in e manu match, vidic was sent off thou it didn make much of a difference; it was in e las few mins. still they had e advantage. Agnst manc pablo zabaleta was sent off leaving liverpool e easy job of playg agnst 10men. n for wigan, winger valencia got red-carded too quite early in e game to allow liverpool to win. coincidence u might say bud it was observed tt for all these red cards, alonso was e man responsible!! he was supposedly tackled by all 3, resulting in 3 red cards!!
Chelsea players r not known for their tempers, unlike looney the pooh. bud if provocated, it is hard to say so. Mikel thou could b targeted by alonso since:
1. he is in e defensive midfield role wich is relatively impt for chelsea.
2. he is playing good football at e moment, probably better than alonso himself.
3. he is prone to losing his temper easily when provocated.
So chelsea players haf to keep reminding each other to stay calm throughout e match. who knows, it might b alonso who gets red carded for diving too many times! =]
Injury wise, wif e exception of torres, i cant think of any other besides skrtel who is impt n missing for liverpool. Chelsea's list thou remains long. Joe Cole n Ashley Cole are still doubts, thou it would be gd to see them on e bench. Didier Drogba is still injured, mayb a wk to recover accordg to scolari. Michael Essien can only return next yr end of jan while Michael Ballack - i haf no idea. while we r at e topic of injuries, liverpool again gave me sth to laugh abt. benitez said 3 of his players were injured wich was y he took them off during e atletico match. keane n alonso had knocks or wateva sadly not to their heads. gerrard on e other hand was tired. when in e world did being tired become an injury?? blame it on his lack of stamina. despite much said on them, it is no surprise tt all 3 will be playg agnst chelsea today. at e end of e day, its all a load of rubbish frm meanitez.
