A wonderful Chelsea performance see us beat birmingham 3-0 and exact revenge for e 0-0 draw a couple of wks ago. There was quite abit of pressure mounting up b4 e game, with birmingham known as e only side tt had stopped Chelsea frm scoring this season, n oso their unbeaten run (im not sure how many, i only know its broken haha) wich should not be ignored.

Needless to say, Chelsea were off to a bright start wif Florent Malouda heading in a super early goal in e 4th min. 1-0 to Chelsea! Joe Cole provided e cross n with as much accuracy as u could ask for, Malouda made no mistakes as he gave Chelsea an early lead n demoralised birmingham almost instantly. It was a great response frm a world-class team. Frank Lampard doubled e lead in e 31st min, a cool low shot to e left after slightly evading joe hart. Michael Ballack, in this case, provided the assist. Our vice-captain made it 3 right at e 90th min after a quick counter-attack saw Malouda passing e ball to Lampard who slotted it this time to e right, leaving hart no chance. 3-0 to Chelsea, 3points for Chelsea, n back to e top where we belong.

With a few games in hand, its never a doubt tt top spot was ours wich is why its quite funny to see manu n arsenal both staking claims over e no1 position. When arsenal went top (played a game more), ev1 was like saying 'wow, wad a remarkable comeback after tt 3-0 loss to Chelsea (its amazing, i know). A 11pt gap was eventually reduced to nth n arsenal could even 'snatch' 1st place!' Whoa ppl, kindly get ur facts right. Arsenal DID NOT SNATCH 1st place frm Chelsea. We merely loaned it to them for awhile, cuz if u rem, Chelsea still haf a game in hand. Thus its quite funny tt arsenal is gettg so excited abt it even though their happiness is short-lived. Indeed it is.

Manu went top (played a game more too) after beating hull city 4-0. No prizes (not even claps) for guessing correctly who scored for manu cuz its common knowledge. Come on everybody, tgt, wayne rooney who else? Well, he scored all 4 goals n got really happy afterall its his 1st time hitting 4. Why tts amazing isnt it? Frank Lampard did tt a couple of seasons ago agnst derby n he is not even a striker! Wouldnt like to imag if he were one. Anyway u would be crazy to think of manu's win as emphatic. Out of e 4 goals, 3 were scored in e last 10min. Sure, praise manu all u want, only if e match lasted 10min. Ever since looney scored early in e 1st half, hull city had as many chances as manu n dey were real unlucky not to get an equaliser. You do wonder wad izit some ppl haf in their heads when dey said manu 'regained' top spot after winng hull. Were dey ever top? NO WAY! It has been Chelsea all e time so how in e name of smelly looney can manu REGAIN it? It doesnt even belong to them!

In any case, Chelsea returned to the top or u could even say REGAIN TOP SPOT after this match which is clearly pleasing considering e fact tt manu n arsenal clash this wkend while Chelsea play their game in hand next wk. So hopefully, arsenal draw 0-0 (1-1 or 2-2 i dont care as long as its a draw) wif manu while Chelsea extend their winng run since jan wif a 4-0 win over burnley n 3-0 win over hull next wk. Be a True Blue n u will haf no blues!

As i predicted in e earlier post, Chelsea r thru to e next round of FA Cup after beating preston north end 2-0! Nicolas Anelka n Daniel Sturridge scored in both halfs as we emerged comfortable winners out of this tie. Praise should be given to Sturridge, the FA Cup specialist (u got to give him the name after seeing his magic in each FA Cup match he has played since) who made good his promise to score goals n help Chelsea win esp in FA Cup matches. And to make things better, the icing on the cake is that stoke dumped arsenal out of the competition by winning 3-1! Of course, ppl r gona say Chelsea fielded a strong team whereas arsenal put out babies. Well i cant see why this is a reasonable excuse for being lousy.

The willingness to field a strong team only shows how much we want to defend our trophy frm las season. I mean, u join a competition primarily cuz u wan to win it right? Yea dere might be some hu might say tt its for e experience n joy, but for a club like arsenal? No way. When was e last time they won a trophy? Its ok dun bother thinking its been quite a few yrs (its hard to rem since Chelsea keep winng trophies). I'm sure they wan to win e FA Cup very much so tt at least their trophy cabinet (oh come on, i noe its abit hard to believe y dey would haf one) would look a teeny weeny bit presentable.

In any case, it only shows wich trophy arsenal really wants: EPL or mayb champions league wich is certainly unfortunate since both, along wif e FA Cup r goin to Stamford Bridge. I find it abit disturbing tt dere r some clubs who do not 'respect the competition' (as quoted on Chelsea's website). Those clubs should not even be allowed to join the competition since dey do not even care much abt it. Ok enough rambling abt tt. Chelsea face cardiff city at home on 13th Feb for our next round n accordg to many reports, we have been given an easy tie. Do you really think so, i mean wads wif e Fa Cup abt being a killer competition n in e past few wks we haf seen manu losing to leeds n of cuz liv n burnley both losing to reading. There is no such thing abt an easy tie, every game is difficult. But no matter wad, we r still gona play our football as always n e desire to win e FA Cup again is never stronger. Be a true blue n watch the blue flag flying high in wembley come may.

Chelsea's astonishing 7-2 win at sunderland las wknd was totally ahhhh-mazing. It sent a warning to ars n manu tt this is only e beginning. Nicolas Anelka n Frank Lampard grabbed 2 apiece as e game was over in merely 22min (i tink) as we were 3-0 up. Ashley Cole, Michael Ballack n Florent Malouda all managed to get on e scoresheet as well as Chelsea hit 7 for e 1st time in many yrs. Closest we had was a couple of 6-0 n 6-1 wins. Well, a truly exciting match if u had watched, Chelsea threatened to score everytime dey had e ball (wich was most of e time). The win sent us to top of e table wich is nth new, i mean we haf been top for a long time it becomes part of a routine. Anyway, it certainly showed Chelsea were finally free frm tt blip wich caused us sum worries in dec n definitely proved our critics wrong hu insisted tt we WILL collapse after Drogba n co left for CAN 2010. I hope u watched tt match ppl cuz it sure pleases me to imag e looks on ur faces after Chelsea keep banging in goals 1 by 1.

Nicolas Anelka opened e scoring after a sweet thru ball frm Ballack opened up e defence n beating e offside trap, Anelka rounded up e gkper n then headed into an empty net. We were in front as early as e 7th min i guess. Florent Malouda was next as he brilliantly paced his run into e danger area b4 smashing it into e left corner. 2-0 to Chelsea n we were in total control. He later admitted he was looking for Anelka but seeing tt dere were defenders surrounding him, he chose to shoot. What a wise decision for such a selfless player.

Ashley's goal, in fact, was remarkable! After controlling e ball nicely frm Terry, he managed to fool a defender (probably their captain, im not sure i mean ev1 is focusing on Ashley) b4 slotting it coolly into e net. 3-0 n 3pts in e bag. Lampard made it 4 shortly b4 half-time as he tapped in frm sum cross (i apologize, dere were juz too many tt day). A great 1st half indeed.

I wouldnt blame sunderland if dey had put in a request for e game to end at half-time, i mean wich team could hold Chelsea? Apparently none if u ask me, not even old tommy could. On e other hand, i wouldnt blame Chelsea too if e players just slightly relaxed abit afterall e lead looks n is unassailable. However much to e dismay of Sunderland players n fans alike, it doesnt seem if we were about to let e curtains down for such an entertaining performance. Anelka n Lampard both got another goal while a Ballack header ensured tt we hit 7 in such an emphatic fashion.

Now hu said only arsenal can play e beautiful game? I think wif this match, Chelsea proved tt they can produce both e thrill n e results. Every pass was slick n every Chelsea move almost led to a goal. Joe Cole had 2 or more clear-cut chances n Anelka almost had his hat-trick. No offence to sunderland but it could haf been 10-0 or worse. You know, its quite silly tt some ppl choose to focus on e 2 goals conceded when e 7 scored would most certainly haf swept many off their seats. It doesnt mean antg, for god's sake, kindly exterminate all thoughts abt messy defending whatsoever or growing concern over the inability to clear corners. Seeing tt we r Chelsea n not any other team (esp manu), its unlike us to thrash sunderland like hell n not give dem sth to cheer abt. Besides, as i haf said earlier, you cant blame e team for putting their foot off e pedal at times when ur leadg by a super wide gap (by liv's standards).

Alas, 3 pts earned, 7 goals scored, Chelsea fans were certainly in for a treat on our very 1st match w/o Drogba n co. A proud 'told you so' to ppl out dere hu predicted tt Chelsea would haf to struggle to cope wif e loss of our African stars. We definitely did.. i mean how do u explain to them tt they had missed out on an altogether vintage performance frm e team? I wouldnt like to try, no way. Be a true blue n u will be proud of it.

With a fantastic pre-season topped wif 2 trophies alr in e bag, its hard to see how Chelsea's red-hot form can be stopped as e season progresses. By e end of dec, we r in a really gd position to increase our overhaul of trophies at stamford bridge.

EPL: Top of e table wif a crucial 2-1 win over fulham at home wich was e last game of 2009. Goals by Didier Drogba n a chris smalling own goal (thou i prefer to see it as a daniel sturridge goal) gave Chelsea e 3pts we needed to make top spot ours. Impt wins over manu, liv n ars ensured Chelsea hogged e 1st position since i dunno when august or sept? John Terry/Nicolas Anelka headed in e only goal of e game as Chelsea beat manu 1-0 at e bridge. A truly exciting game. Nicolas Anelka n Florent Malouda scored as Chelsea cruised to a 2-0 win at home as well (it wouldn haf made a diff if e game was played at anfield) agnst liv. And most pleasingly, Chelsea thrashed ars 3-0 (dun ask me y, dey used e word thrash when Chelsea lost 0-3 to manu), yes thrashed, wif goals frm Didier Drogba, Thomas Vermalaen (i prefer to see it as Ashley Cole/Didier Drogba) n surprise Drogba again. Totally impressive if u consider it was played at e emirates stadium where Ashley Cole was booed frm start to end (apparently e gooners' fans didnt make their msg clear enuf, i dunno, dey probably mispronounced vermaelen instd). Lampard once said tt wins agnst those mid-table teams were probably crucial in gettg bac tt premier league crown wich we had so generously loaned to e devils these past few seasons. He is right indeed and after beating hull 2-1, sunderland 3-1, fulham 2-0, burnley 3-0, stoke 2-1, tot 3-0 (its crazy i noe), blackburn 5-0, bolton 4-0 (we actually did tt twice), wolves 4-0 n portsmouth 2-1 (a marathon lemme get my breath bac 1st), Chelsea really made ourselves favourites to land e premier league title again after back-to-back titles duing e mourinho era. We can afford to give free points to manc, wigan n villa just to name a few n still remain top all cuz no other team is better dan Chelsea. In fact i saw e ranking points wich puts Chelsea as 2nd best team in e WORLD. Barca is 1st wich is probably debatable: if Chelsea won dem las season in Champions league, we will most likely be 1st. manu is a distant... 3rd. So anw a great 1st half to e epl season could be vital esp since Drogba, Essien, Mikel n Kalou would be away at e African Cup of Nations in jan.

Champions League: With Anelka banging in goals for us to cope wif e absence of Drogba (rem tt weird ban?), Chelsea topped their champions league group in style n will face inter milan in e knockout stages wif home advantage for e 2nd leg. Oh n 1 very shocking thing, liv crashed out. ok fine mayb its expectd. dey now play in e uefa cup (is tt wad dey call it, dun ask me im not a liv fan).

FA Cup: Chelsea r thru to e 4th round n face preston north end after tearing apart watford 5-0 at e start of e new yr wif sturridge scoring a brace. liv is out after losing to reading in a replay. manu is out after being dumped out by leeds united. arsenal will be out after dey lose to stoke. And, Chelsea will be in after winng preston north end, with all due respect to them.

League Cup: Penalty heartbreak. Thats all i haf to say.

So, as i said earlier, Chelsea is still in e running for 3 more trophies (more to come if dey win all 3) wich is a really good start to e season. Kudos to Carlo Ancelotti, all the Chelsea players, staffs n of cuz fans! I told u its gd to be a true blue.

As the chinese saying goes, a good beginning is half way to success. And its safe to say tt Chelsea has enjoyed a wonderful start to e season by finishing top of e barclays premier league table at e end of december. But where did this imperious form come frm? Certainly not nowhere. If u could recall, pre-season in fact was absolutely terrific. A string of 4 wins in America meant we head back to stamford bridge wif a 2009 World Football Challenge trophy. Our first out of many more? Definitely.

As always, the community shield will curtail e start of e new football season n its not surprising to see Chelsea lock horns wif manu in wembley AGAIN. how i hate evil devils. Anw, nani scored in e 10th min to send poor old alexi n his troops crazy. A great start? I beg to differ, to me, its called a fluke. And boy was i right. Carvalho equalised halfway thru to level e score, heading in e ball after sum mistake frm e gkper hu i tink was ben foster. Now i say, has e game truly started. Frank Lampard, our all-time star performer, scored later on as benny n his bunny could only watch on in horror. Much to e displeasure of manu, e ref did not disallow tt goal. 3 cheers for him! You see, Ballack was accused of injuring evra b4 e ball landed so nicely in front of Lampard hu then converted to giv us e lead. So was he really guilty? The devils certainly think so. To me it doesnt make a difference. I cant see wad made alex (definitely not our no33) n almost e whole manu squad so furious. Even if evra was not on e ground where he always is, i doubt he will be able to wrestle e ball back frm Ballack. So admit it losers, we DESERVE to lead whether or not he gets shot.

It looked like we were in for an easy win when sth out of e blue happened. Apparently a looney was out on e loose after he reportedly escaped frm sum mental hospital. It was said he saw his gd frens (the team in red) on tv (i know, im shocked too) n wantd to join dem as dey try to conquer e pit hole. oops i mean defeat Chelsea (its making me mental too). At e 90th min it was 2-2 wif no extra time given cuz e request frm e mental hospital was tt e game had to end quickly so tt e looney could be recaptured w/o alerting ev1 hu probably comprise of half e world out dere. Now u noe e truth.

Ok so it was time for e penalty shootout wich is hated among Chelsea fans. A chance to exact revenge on e team tt so cruelly deny us our 1st Champions League trophy in 07/08. A jittery moment for all Chelsea fans started wif Chelsea drawing 1st blood. Lampard, always so brave n cool, slammed in e 1st spot-kick leaving ben foster no chance at all. 1-0 to Chelsea! Grumpy giggly (i noe its ironic) was next n as he tried to scowl his way into goal, Cech the great was dere. All scowls n no action make grumpy a rather dull boy. How true indeed. Ballack, who if u remembered scored a penalty agnst manu some time back, then successfully converted our 2nd spot-kick wif as much ease as u would expect frm an old man snoring. If u had done ur research, u would realise he didn even flinch. 2-0 to Chelsea! ok carrick scored. bohhhring. 2-1.

Next up was drogba who had a point to prove after tt strange red card he received agnst manu not long ago. He certainly did right as another goal in gave Chelsea a 3-1 lead. Stop wondering where ben is, im trying to locate him too hahahaha. So for e 1st time since i dunno when, e pressure was off Chelsea halfway thru e shootout. Then went evra hu apparently created his own rules of e game. According to him, u haf to hit e keeper to score a point. So he went, bam cech, n almost cheered if not for e fact tt dere was a blue eruption arnd him. Poor eehvra, he probably thought he was colour blind! 3-1 to Chelsea n a community shield trophy staring at us right in e face! Up came Deco who then got chased away by e ref (after quick investigations, he turned out to be looney's gd fren) who foolishly thought tt Kalou wouldn noe how to score. He was proved wrong as Kalou netted in e winner (4-1) for us and gave us our 2nd trophy of 09/10 (pre-season is counted). Didnt i tell u it wont be long b4 we get another one? Be a true blue n be proud of it.

A new season, a new beginning, a new manager as well as 3 new players. Carlo Ancelotti joined Chelsea frm AC Milan in e summer as he seeks to deliver e trophy tt we haf yearned deeply for (but had no luck due to conspiracies n bad luck) : Champions League. Yuri Zhirkov, e former CSKA player, can play both as a winger n a left-back n he will bring much needed cover for Ashley Cole n Florent Malouda. Daniel Sturridge, signed frm Manchester City, plays as a striker wich is just in time following e departure of Andriy Shevchenko (I noe its pretty heartbreaking). Sheva has left for Dynamo Kiev, e club tt he started his wonderful n glittering career. If u love someone, set him free. Although its hard to see him go, e fact tt he will enjoy himself even more at kiev shld more than make up for it.

He will always be loved by Chelsea. Forever.

Anyway, before i start rambling on abt sheva's achievements, lets get back to our new signings. Ross Turnbull, a goalkeeper signed from middlesbrough will replace carlo cudicini as he left for tottenham. That abt sums up our new arrivals. Pretty exciting, isnt it? Its always great to be a true blue. =]

Well, its been a long time since i posted abt Chelsea but it doesnt mean tt my love for e blues has diminished. In fact, it has grown stronger by e day n e belief tt we can once again lay our hands on e premier league crown is ever growing. To wrap up last season, Chelsea did end their mini trophy drought of 1 season (pretty mini if u compare wif e gooners n loserpool haha) by winning the FA CUP. Lampard once again proved e difference by creating e winner out of nowhere (he had tripped on his way to scoring e goal) and Chelsea held on to beat everton 2-1 at e wembley stadium.

And as u all might haf alr known, Guus Hiddink has left at e end of las season to continue his coaching career at Russia. He did leave wif a smile though as e players fufilled their promise of allowing him to leave wif a winners medal arnd his neck. Despite his short stint at Chelsea, he will b fondly remembered by e fans n players for taking Chelsea to an altogether new level.

That abt sums up Chelsea's 08/09 season wif us finishing 3rd in e premier league (i noe its abit shocking to c liverpool in 2nd place) n champions league semi-finalist (after tt STRANGE encounter wif barcelona wich i haf no wish to comment abt lest i get a ban frm i dont know talking?). A tough season wich sees us signing off wif a diff manager, Chelsea managed to make e most out of it by at least reclaiming e FA CUP. Now we look on to e next for more honours. Always proud to be a true blue.
