If u were wondering y i hadn been posting chelsea's results for e past 2wks, its cuz i went overseas. n not cuz they hadn been playg or as sum of u childish ppl might tink: their performances werent up to standard.
In any case, Chelsea's results thus so far stands at a 0-0 draw wif newcastle, a 1-1 draw wif bordeaux as well as disappointingly a 1-2 defeat to arsenal. well i cant really comment on e 0-0 draw with newcastle since primarily i wasnt watg e match n had none reports whatsoever abt e match (sports news over there were only abt american football, bball n baseball). however i do noe tt other rivals werent havg a gd time either. liverpool failed to capitalize on our draw by puttg in a dour performance to draw 0-0 wif fulham too. manu drew 0-0 wif aston villa as well, makes u tink its too much of a coincidence isnt it. arsenal is e worst of e lot, losing 0-3 i tink to manc. n thus at e end of e day, chelsea still remain top of e table wich is nth surprising.
Moving on to e midwk match agnst bordeaux after knowing tt manu n arsenal haf booked their places in e knockout stage. well again chelsea drew 1-1 (makes u wonder if sum1 had placed a curse on us). anelka scored bud this abou guy or sth equalized in the later part of e match n cost us e precious top spot as well as preventing us frm bookg our place as well. not tt it matters, so long as chelsea beat cluj in e final match. wich i tink might happen or shld i say will happen since our home record in champs league is much better dan tt in epl. strange isnt it. our away record in epl is much better dan tt in champs league. anw bac to e match agnst bordeaux. e moment i heard lampard was sent off, i was like r e referees targeting chelsea players? juz e previous match, sum blockwood sent deco off for taking a free kick fast. instd of praising him for not wasting time, u red-card him? sadly to say, i didn get tt wrong. lampard got 2 yel cards i heard. i refuse to comment since i didn get to c e fouls he made bud in any case i believe tt lampard is right as u can c very clearly e refs dun get any credibility nowadays.
And now to e very last match, chelsea lost 1-2 to arsenal. as quoted frm kalou this was a strange game. now dun deny me my rights to comment on this match since i haf watched it n read reports on it. firstly u muz b wonderg wad prompted kalou to make such a comment. if not for e linesman's mistake tt kalou was offside when he WAS NOT, e score would b 1-0 as early as e 4th min. bud u tink of e many petty n WRONG decisions tt cost chelsea n one might be forgiven to overlook tt since we still had 86min n more to score more goals. tt goal came courtesy of djourou. no, dun b mistaken, he is not chelsea's latest addition bud arsenal's defender. yes it was n own goal bud no doubt beautifully played by bosingwa. in any case, 1-0 to chelsea. it wasnt a healthy lead esp agnst arsenal bud den again juz cuz its agnst arsenal e lead was gd.
In e 2nd half, i xpected to c more goals from our own strikers bud tt was not to b. e linesman once again was at e heart of trouble. van persie or now hailed as arsenal's hero was OFFSIDE when he scored arsenal's 1st goal wich was oso e goal tt sparked their unamazing n illegal comeback. it proved to be our unlucky day or if u had read all tt i had said, week.
To all chelsea fans out dere, no need to b overly worried. liverpool hu currently sit 1pt above us was not their best or perhaps alr their best when dey played west ham wich dey drew 0-0. mayb its cuz torres wasnt dere bud tink abt e win over manu similarly w/o torres n u beg to differ. its juz plain old liverpool. squandering yet anota chance to go 3pts clear, i can only thank god... n them. oh and 1 las thing b4 i sign off. while enjoyg myself in usa, i saw this wonderful lampard sweatshirt in a shop in uk in epcot centre. it proves 2things.
1. Chelsea is popular even in united states.
2. Chelsea is more popular dan manu n arsenal since Chelsea's jerseys, footballs, scarves n sweatshirts can be bought dere compared to manu's female shirts n arsenal's nth. yes, NTH.
